Be very cautious about clicking on “links” sent in an email. Look for the “lock” or https to ensure a site is safe. Use extreme caution when opening attachments–run virus checks before and never open an attachment from someone you do not know. Remember–no financial institution will ever request your confidential information to be “verified” through email. If you are in doubt regarding any email contact the institution or company sending the email.
