In 1997, members of the UAW Local 1853 sponsored the credit union with the goal of creating a more beneficial and sensible solution for their banking needs. Because of their hardwork and initial investment, the credit union continued to thrive. In 2005, The Credit Union Charter was changed to a community charter serving anyone living, working, worshipping or attending school in Williamson or Maury Counties.
Family Advantage Federal Credit Union is located in the heart of Spring Hill and less than two miles of the General Motors (Spring Hill) Manufacturing Facility. Family Advantage Federal Credit Union main office is located at 100 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway, Spring Hill, TN 37174. The Columbia Branch is located at 1511 Nashville Highway, Suite D, Columbia, TN 38401.

The board of directors is elected by the membership. Board members serve on a voluntary basis and receive no compensation for their services. The board of directors are mainly responsible for writing policies, setting rates and establishing services for the betterment of the membership. The board of directors delegates the day to day operations, responsibilities and procedures to the Credit Union management team. |
